Rea Beaumont's second album Creating a Landscape provides a unique musical experience, with works ranging from meditative to virtuosic. Beaumont explores how performers and composers shape our auditory landscape through music and she draws parallels with mankind’s impact on the physical landscape as a result of over-population.

ABOUT 
With NASA’s famous photo “Earthrise” photo as its cover, Beaumont’s first album A Shrinking Planet communicates that we are a global community.  The album was one of the first to highlight the influences of globalization in Canadian new music.  Named after this premiere recording of Barbara Pentland’s Small Pieces for a Shrinking Planet, the album features virtuosic works by Canadian composers who each address mankind’s innate desire to search and explore.  Premiered on CBC Radio.
