Named ’Album of the Week' on CBC Music's “In Concert,” my sixth album Enjoy the Journey takes listeners on a journey from Canada's Pacific to Atlantic coast, and beyond. It features the commissioned work Green Pieces, which is a musical tribute to Vancouver's social energy and the beauty of Canada's Pacific Northwest as I lived there for nearly ten years.
The album also includes French-Canadian Folksongs that are the result of my in-depth research into the genre's rich history and cultural context. My set honours musical tradition and adds a new artistic vision. Leading Canadian violinist Christopher Verrette recorded and premiered these works with me, bringing his expertise and musicality to the project.
